Christy is a registered psychologist in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Dually chartered in Assessment/Educational psychology & Clinical/Counselling psychology, Christy works from a client-centered, non-directive framework & sees her role as a facilitator for you on your journey of healing & growth. Christy has been in private practice since 2009 and has spent that time in a variety of activities including private counselling, school and clinical assessment, educational consultation, clinical consultation and supervision, and program development. Christy has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Born and raised in East Central Alberta, Christy is keenly aware of the difficulties accessing specialized services in rural Alberta, and seek to ease this disconnect for our clients.

Elayne Harris-Lorenz

Beginning her career as a Music and Special Education Teacher, Elayne recognized the importance of thorough Educational Assessment and planning to support students in school. Transitioning her path, she completed further training and has worked as an Educational Psychologist for 20+ years. Over this time, Elayne has further incorporated counselling psychology, supporting clients struggling with ADHD, ASD and mood disorders as well as working with those struggling with grief. Elayne has also taken an active role in mentoring students and young career psychologists at IT& P.

Alana completed the Master of Counselling program through the University of Lethbridge. She is passionate about psychology and providing services to rural Albertan children, youth, and adults. By recognizing that each individual’s story is unique, Alana takes a collaborative approach working alongside clients through their experiences with life’s ups and downs.

Lana has recently completed her Master in Educational Psychology through the University of Regina, and is working under as a registered provisional psychologist under the supervision of Christy Hunt, R. Psych. She has her B.Ed and Special Education Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan and has been working as a Special Education teacher for 15 years. Lana is passionate about supporting struggling learners and is specializing in Educational and Psychological Assessments.

Reid Coleman
Reid has completed a B.Sc. (Honours Degree), Sport and Exercise Psychology and a M.Sc. in Psychology with a major in Sport. In addition to his degrees, he has specialized training in mental skills coaching and post graduate courses in counselling psychology. Reid’s interest in the area of Sport Psychology was developed through his own experience as an athlete where he had the opportunity to play a number of sports at an elite level, including USport. He is passionate about helping athletes develop new techniques and strategies that help them reach their full potential while managing the pressures of competing at an elite level.
Reid recognizes the importance of assessment and positive mental health outside of the world of sports. As a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta, his main areas of focus are Assessment/Educational Psychology and Counselling Psychology. His main approach is cognitive behavioural therapy. He enjoys supporting clients in identifying the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Reid understands that by supporting clients in recognizing unhealthy thought patterns and behaviours, they can begin to make changes to assist them improve their mental well-being.

Karin Tomiyama Winter

Karin has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The King’s University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Her therapy style is collaborative and client-centered, and she is passionate about embracing each person with their unique strengths and challenges.
Therapy can benefit anyone, even if you are not facing a crisis. Whatever you bring into the therapy room – anxiety, excitement, sadness, shame, addiction, trauma, or happiness – Karin believes it is her job to create a safe space for you. She will walk alongside you as you share your story or work toward a goal, highlighting your unique strengths and resources. Karin works with qualified supervision from Christy Hunt and enjoys working with adults experiencing mood or anxiety concerns, processing past trauma, addictions and recovery, relationship concerns, and transitions.

Candace Stryker

Master of Education in Counselling Psychology
Receiving her CCC designation in 2018, Candace found counselling later in life after having first followed her passion for the external environment. Candace predominately integrates mindfulness practices, inner child work, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and believes that relational wounds need to be healed in relationship with a safe other to undo one’s sense of aloneness in pain. Candace’s areas of clinical practice include attachment wounds, trauma, addiction, grief, depression, anxiety, stress management, and relationship issues
Candace has worked in palliative care and moved into the addictions field in 2020. She is currently pursuing her certification in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). She feels grateful and incredibly inspired to live her best life through observing the strength, courage, and resiliency she sees in all those she supports

With a wealth of experience in counseling and mental health assessment since 2006, she is well-equipped to support individuals of all ages facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, high stress, relationship issues, emotional dysregulation, grief, and self-esteem concerns.
Marina has specialized in working with clients dealing with childhood trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. She tailors her therapeutic approach based on each individual’s unique needs, utilizing a range of methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy.
Miranda Piecharka

Miranda began her career as an accredited music therapist (MTA) after completing her Bachelor of Music Therapy at Acadia University. During this time, she also completed a Diploma of Applied Psychology and Counselling. She has gained experience working with children and teens with and without developmental disabilities, as well as parents and adults dealing with life stressors. In addition to the training provided in her Master of Counselling program, she has studied sound therapy and somatic healing techniques to highlight the mind and body connection. Miranda will be integrating these techniques with talk therapy and music therapy to meet the client wherever they are in their therapy journey to promote growth and meaningful change.

Glenys Reeves - Gibbs

Glenys’ career is varied and includes family work as a mediator. Over her 15 years mediating she worked with parents to develop effective co-parenting plans. As well she mediated family living contracts between parents and adolescents to assist with family reunification. Glenys was the initial facilitator in Lloydminster for “Parenting After Separation” an Alberta Government program for parents experiencing separation and divorce.
Glenys is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. During this time, she trained and practiced as a certified divorce coach. She co-authored “Taking the High Road to Separation and Divorce” which made the Amazon top pick list after its release. Her focus in the book is effective communications between separating and divorcing couples. Continuous learning is a passion of Glenys’. This in addition to her love of family work had her return to school to complete post-graduate training in couple and family systems therapy. Using a variety of therapeutic strategies including play-based modalities including sand tray, Glenys will assist couples and families explore relational dynamics from a systems perspective. Her work ranges from assisting with relationship enhancement to intervening with high conflict couples and families.
Janelle Fox

Janelle graduated from the University of Alberta in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. During her 18+ years of practice, she developed an interest in mental health and has since pursued her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Janelle's approach is all about her clients. She is passionate about helping them discover their strengths and is particularly dedicated to working with neurodivergent individuals, and those experiencing depression and anxiety. As a Certified Diabetes Educator, Janelle has a wealth of experience in helping people navigate the challenges of living with chronic diseases. She finds immense fulfillment in assisting others to empower themselves to live their best lives, demonstrating her empathy and understanding of her clients' needs.
