CAN SERVICES BE PROVIDED VIRTUALLY?

Once we have completed the intake session, I enjoy having a couple inperson sessions with the client. If they are able to manage with some independence virtually we can transition to supporting literacy and numeracy learning goals virtually.

WHAT AGE OF STUDENTS DO YOU WORK WITH?

We work with Kindergarten to adult learners.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY CHILD NEEDS SERVICES?

If you find they are struggling to meet grade level goals in literacy or numeracy, we can help.

WHAT TYPES OF LD’s ARE THERE? DOES UNDERSTANDING THE TYPE OF LD MATTER?

A diagnosis will allow for the child, parents and educators to best understand their strengths and areas of concern. It is empowering to know how one's brain works and a diagnosis provides that information.

IS DYSLEXIA THE SAME THING AS A READING DISORDER?

In Canada, we utilize the term, Specific Learning Disability in Reading to provide a broad term for a variety of reading difficulties.  In many other parts of the world, the term Dyslexia is used to represent a specific type of reading disability.
