NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2026

Every student's learning journey is unique. There are many wonderful schools within Lloydminster and the surrounding communities, but gaps exist for elite athletes wanting to pursue their sport without sacrificing their educational opportunities after high school. Elite athletes transferring to the Lloydminster community from an Alberta school division need services beyond what are currently offered.

The Alberta/Saskatchewan border running through the middle of our beautiful city is very unique in Canada; however it also brings many challenges to the health and education systems in our community.  Our goal is to provide a high level service which builds upon the learning options that families have in our community.

The challenge.

Differences between the Alberta and Saskatchewan education systems have long created challenges for Alberta students who move to Lloydminster to play on elite sports teams.

WHEN STUDENTS RELOCATE, THEY MUST OFTEN:

  • Switch from the Alberta curriculum to the Saskatchewan curriculum, which can result in

    • Lost credits

    • Missed graduation requirements

  • Or commute daily out of Lloydminster to attend a small Alberta school

For families who want their child to learn within a structured school environment—with teachers, accountability, and academic support—there have been no Alberta-curriculum options available within Lloydminster. Switching between curriculums can also create complications later when athletes apply to university, college, or trade programs.

Our solution.

To address this long-standing gap, we are excited to launch our Onsite Learning Hub in Lloydminster.

THE LEARNING HUB ALLOWS STUDENTS TO:

  • Continue learning through the Alberta curriculum

  • Live and train in Lloydminster

  • Complete coursework through online Alberta programs, supported in person

A supportive classroom environment.

Our onsite Learning Hub offers a classroom-based setting where students are supported by registered teachers as they work through their Alberta curriculum.

The environment is:

  • Structured, providing accountability and consistency

  • Supportive, ensuring students don’t feel isolated while learning online

  • Flexible, allowing schedules to align with team practices and travel commitments

INTEGRATED MULTIDISCIPLINARY SUPPORT

What truly sets our Learning Hub apart is direct access to our extensive, multidisciplinary team.
