Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2025

Every student's learning journey is unique. There are many wonderful schools within Lloydminster and the surrounding communities, but gaps exist for elite athletes wanting to pursue their sport without sacrificing their educational opportunities after high school. Elite athletes transferring to the Lloydminster community from an Alberta school division need services beyond what are currently offered.  The Alberta/Saskatchewan border running through the middle of our beautiful city is very unique in Canada; however it also brings many challenges to the health and education systems in our community.  Our goal is to provide a high level service which builds upon the learning options that families have in our community.

The differences between the Alberta and Saskatchewan education system have long caused difficulties for Alberta students moving to Lloydminster to play on elite sports teams.  Students must switch from their current Alberta curriculum, to Saskatchewan curriculum, often losing needed credits and courses for graduation.  Currently, switching to Saskatchewan curriculum, or driving out of Lloydminster daily to a small Alberta school, is all that is available for athletes moving to Lloydminster to pursue their sport. If parents want their children to have a school environment with teachers, structure, accountability and support, while still on Alberta curriculum, there are no options in the city of Lloydminster.  Switching between curriculums can often cause difficulty later on when athletes apply to university, college or trade school.

This is why we are so excited to launch our onsite Learning Hub, housed in Lloydminster. Our Learning Hub offers students the opportunity to continue on with their Alberta curriculum through online learning, while living in Lloydminster.  Our onsite Learning Hub provides a classroom environment where students can receive support from registered teachers, as they navigate their Alberta curriculum. Our classroom environment provides a learning setting structured enough for students to feel supported and have accountability to complete work consistently, but flexible enough to work with team practice and travel schedule's.

Unique to our onsite Learning Hub, our students have the ability to rapidly access any of our extensive, multidisciplinary team members including sports psychology, educational psychology, clinical psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech language pathology.  Our staff provide one-on-one support, connecting with students and offering resources and therapies when needed, to help our students achieve their goals, and help parents rest easy knowing their child, living far away from home, has a whole community of professionals to rely upon.  Our skilled multidisciplinary team offers wrap around support for student academic, athletic and personal success. We are now accepting applications for fall of 2025.
